Accommodation for Students

The registrations for ISS2023 are made through an external site hosted by Victoria Univeristy of Wellington. Please click here to proceed to the registration portal.

Student Accommodation

Accommodation for students has been arranged at Cumberland House, 237 Willis St, Central Wellington. Bookings must be made through the registration portal.

Booking Terms and Conditions
Cancellation Policy: All requests for cancellation must be received in writing.
・Cancellations between 15 and 30 days prior to arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total cost of the accommodation booked
・Cancellations received between 8 and 14 days prior to arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total cost of the booking including the cost of any catering booked
・Cancellations received 7 days or less prior to arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equal to the total of the booking including the cost of any catering booked
Damages: Any damages, breakages, or losses should be reported immediately to Hall staff.
You are responsible for returning all keys and access cards issued upon departure. Failure to return any keys, will result in a replacement charge of $90 per key or access card.
Prohibited Items ・No alcoholic liquor, vaping or smoking are permitted within or surrounding Cumberland House
・All illicit drugs, firearms of any kind, lit candles, incense and flammable liquids are absolutely prohibited
・Cooking equipment such as electric woks, frying pans, panini machines, rice cookers, and toasters are not permitted in rooms or in communal spaces
Emergency Procedures: All guests must take the time to familiarise themselves with the posted emergency and evacuation procedures upon arrival at the Cumberland House.
On hearing an alarm, all guests must follow the posted procedures and instructions from Cumberland House staff and emergency service.
General Rules ・All guests must be considerate of other guests and avoid producing noise that may disturb the comfort, work, or study of other guests. Noise is to be kept to a minimum at night, between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am
・Groups are permitted only on floors they occupy and communal/public areas.
